Our Denominational Affiliations
As a Presbyterian church with a 100+ year history in Cleveland Heights, we owe our form of governance to the Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States.
We are part of The Presbytery of the Western Reserve located in downtown Cleveland,
and geographically part of the Synod of the Covenant.
Our Mission Partners
“Family Promise of Greater Cleveland is an organization formed from the merger of Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cleveland and New Life Community. [Its] mission is to inspire and empower homeless families to transform their lives, become self-sufficient, and fulfill their promise.
“Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC) is a non-partisan coalition of faith communities and partner organizations in Cuyahoga County working together to build power for social justice.”
“Founded in 1989, Reaching Heights mobilizes community resources to foster highly valued public schools that provide all Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District students a successful education.Reaching Heights”
The Home Repair Resource Center (formerly Forest Hill Housing Corporation) fosters “diverse & sustainable neighborhoods through well-maintained homes” and was formed as an outreach of Forest Hill Church’s peacemaking mission in 1970.
“The mission of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians is to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ, with the help of God’s grace. We are called to achieve this goal by furthering the inclusion of LGBTQ persons, and by working for the unity of the PC(USA).”
We have a special relationship supporting Boulevard Elementary School in Cleveland Heights.
