Pathways to the Promise Land (for Grades 1-5)

Pathways to the Promise Land is the kind of Sunday School we wished we’d been forced to attend as kids . . . active, engaging, stimulating, and just plain FUN!

That’s because the Pathways classes follow a workshop rotation model that engages all the different ways children learn. Each Sunday, our kids visit a different workshop and experience the same Biblical story or concept using a different learning style. The lessons are kid-friendly, teacher-friendly, facility-transforming ways to teach Bible stories and truths.

Pathways to the Promise Land children meet during the 11:00 worship service, after attending a brief part of the worship service with their families.

→WARNING: Once your kids get a taste of Pathways, say farewell to sleeping in on Sunday mornings. They’ll be pulling you out of bed to get to “the Donut Church” for their Pathways classes.

The workshops explore a monthly focus revolving around a yearly theme. Every 4 weeks, with an occasional 3-week rotation, the different grades rotate between workshops, experiencing the same Bible story or focus in four different ways.

Pathways to the Promise Land Mission

With the Spirit’s guidance, we aim to provide experiences of grace, love, imagination and joy, to nurture:

  • faith in Christ,
  • wonder in God,
  • hunger for the Bible,
  • heart for mission and service and discovery of God given gifts.

In planting seeds of faith and wonder, we pray that children will integrate faith throughout their growing lives, so that they can be mature, committed and joyful disciples.
