The Youth Group at Forest Hill Church seeks ways to discuss, encounter and experience faith in many forms through bible studies, retreats, mission trips, and fellowship beyond our church walls. We are involved in all areas of Forest Hill Church: service to our own church family, mission and local outreach, and taking part in morning worship services.
Mid-High Youth Fellowship
Our focus is on building relationships within the 6-8th grade youth group through volunteering projects, prayer, fellowship and working to better understand our role in Christ’s community.
Our 6th through 8th graders meet for Mid High Youth during the Sunday School hour from 9:30 to 10:30am.
In addition to sometimes partnering up with the Senior High youth group, we have several Mid-High-Only events such as:
- Bible Studies
- Friday night Lock-Ins
- Weekend trips in and around Cleveland Heights
- Movie Nights
During the summer, the Mid-Highs take a 4-5 day trip together where they explore what it means to be part of a faith community.
Senior-High Youth Fellowship
Youth in grades 9-12 get together to discuss, encounter and experience faith in many forms.
What do the Senior High Youth meet?
Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30am- Senior High Youth meet for a time of discussion, study, and fellowship.
Fun Outings - We gather about twice a month to watch a movie together, meet for coffee or ice cream, go to a sporting event, see a play or other fun ideas.
Overnights & Retreats- Both at Forest Hill Church and outside of the Cleveland area
Mission Projects - Get together with Mid-High youth for volunteering projects in the community.
Converge Worship
Forest Hill is one of the leadership churches for Converge, a monthly worship service for middle and high school students. Converge meets on the 2nd Sunday every month at 7pm at First Baptist in Shaker Heights. Learn more about Converge here and visit our facebook page to stay up to date on the latest Converge worship.
Mission Trips
Each summer, the Senior High youth travel together for a week of mission. Past trips have included the Presbyterian Triennium in Indiana; Nicaragua; Juarez, Mexico; and Washington DC. In 2012, the Senior Highs will be heading to Cherokee, NC July 7-14.
Confirmation Classes
8th Graders & Up are encouraged to attend our confirmation class. Confirmation is offered every other year on Sunday mornings from January to May during the education hour before worship..
