Youth Mission Trips
A highlight of Forest Hill’s youth program is the yearly mission trip experience. Each group, the Mid-Highs (rising 6-8 grades) and the Senior Highs (rising 9-12 grades), go on a mission trip designed to help them grow in their faith and discover God’s purpose for them in the larger community.
Past Senior High trips have been to Nicaragua, Washington DC, Mississippi, Mexico, Gettysburg, South Dakota, and Inward Bound here in Cleveland. The Mid-Highs have spent time at Faith Ranch in southern Ohio, in Canada, and helping with Habitat for Humanity in Cleveland.
This summer, the senior high youth are traveling to Cherokee, NC to help with hands-on mission projects on the reservation.
In 2010, our Sr. High teens attended the 2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium in Indiana the week of July 18-24. (Triennium photos here.) Our Mid-High kids participated in The Pittsburgh Project’s Summer Service Camp that same week.
