Softball Team
Each summer from April to August, Forest Hill’s softball team chases a championship in the church softball league. In the past 6 years Forest Hill has been to the finals 5 times and won the championship 3 times! We play to win but have a lot of fun and no one takes it too seriously (except for the senior pastor…) The games are enjoyable for spectators as well as players, and the post-game get-togethers are great ways to celebrate no matter what the final score is.

2010 Softball Season
Season Highlights: Daryl Musick and Jason Hidek played in the first ever Heights Church League vs Euclid League All-Star Game.

February 2010: SOFTBALL SEASON IS HERE! We are just 2 months away from Spring Training as the Forest Hill softball teams look to win our fifth championship and our fourth in a row! We are looking for 5 or 6 more players to add to our teams for the upcoming season. 2009 Season ~ CHAMPIONS AGAIN!
June 26, 2006: For the 3rd year in a row, Forest Hill’s softball team won the 12-team Heights Church Softball League. After defeating Grace Lutheran (18-2) and First Baptist (10-0) to reach the Finals, they then had to beat St. Ann’s Parish twice. They held on to win the first game 10-8 and then rallied back to win the second game 18-15. Keith Logan and Dave Burleigh led the way with 11 hits each!
Thanks to all who supported our softball teams this year. Having two teams allowed us to welcome many new players who enjoyed family fun, fellowship and friendship throughout the season.
Both teams will celebrate their season with a picnic at the Hideks on Saturday, August 8th at 4pm.
June 21, 2009: Team A swept a double header from First Baptist, winning 9-5 and 4-0. John Obery had 6 hits and Matt Winters had 5 to lead the team. Team B lost to Fairmount Presbyterian 6-2 and 11-7, rallying from 7-0 in the second game despite only having 9 players. Kevin Ball had 5 hits to lead them.
May 31, 2009: Team A split a double header with First Baptist Church. John Lentz delivered the game-winning single in the extra inning to win 12-11 in the first game. Team B dropped both games against Fairmount Presbyterian, 8-5 and 9-3. Kevin Steiner led the team with 5 hits.
May 17, 2009: Both teams split their doubleheaders last Sunday, May 17th. Team A won 11-5 and lost 13-12 to St. Ann Parish. Dan Shaner had 3 triples and a double in the games. Kevin Steiner and Evan Tuttle each had 4 hits in, leading FHC Team B to a victory in their first game 16-5, over Church of the Saviour C. Team B then lost their first game of the year 6-2 to in the second game. There are no games scheduled for May 24th.
May 10, 2009: Both Forest Hill softball teams kicked off their seasons: Team A lost two close games against Grace Lutheran 12-10 and 14-13. They were led by Dana Obery who had 7 hits and 2 home runs. Forest Hill B team started with two victories over Central Bible Baptist, 14-9 and 17-6. Brian West had 5 hits and Lauren Wyss had 4 to lead the way.
