Social Groups

Forest Hill’s adult social fellowship groups vary in age and gather monthly for anything from rock climbing to theater outings and canoe trips to Super Bowl parties. Check Upcoming Events to find out when and where to show up for the next good time.

The Back Row, our youngest social group, formed spontaneously among the college students and young adults who like to slip into the very last rows just before (or after) worship started on Sundays. Some regulars are now married, a few have new babies, but they maintain their commitment to fun social activities on a very laid back, semi-regular schedule.

The Fish used to be the youngest, until the Back Row kicked them over to the grown-up table. At the moment, Fish includes mostly singles and married adults ranging in age from 28 to 40, with most between 30 and 35. They gather monthly for food, fun, and occasional service projects.

The Pacesetters are the people to party with if you’re between the ages of 40 and 60, with most regulars in their 50’s. Pacesetters includes a mix of long-time and brand-new members, singles and couples, folks with kids and empty-nesters.

The Group includes singles and couples, new and seasoned members of FHC. They love to eat, celebrate, help others, share adventures, and enjoy music, wine and fun. Some are retired but still active in volunteering or “second” careers. The Group meets the second Saturday of the month unless it’s a Super Bowl party, a musical performance or baseball game. Cathy Ghiandoni is their contact person - email the church or call 216-321-2660 to reach Cathy.

The Hilltoppers are Forest Hill’s longest running fellowship group. Many members first met as newly married couples at Forest Hill in the 1950’s and are still going strong today. Mostly retired, the Hilltoppers meet once a month and enjoy a wide range of educational and social activities as well as occasional day trips.
