Building a Beloved Community
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. envisioned a united world – a “beloved community” where humanity, justice, and love replace poverty, inequity, and hate. FHC believes that the life of Jesus modeled how we are to live in relationship with others. As Jesus taught, we are to love others as he loved us. The beloved community imagined by Martin Luther King Jr. is grounded in the teachings of Jesus.

Family, Youth, and Children’s Ministry
Family, Youth and Children’s Ministry offers young people and their families a safe, affirming and inclusive space to grow in relationship to God and one another. We are committed to racial equity as we seek to nurture and celebrate the faith journeys of children, youth and families through creative, and engaging programming that provides opportunities to love and care for others.
Ministry team members meet monthly to support the Director of Family, Youth and Children in planning and evaluating programming. They assist as needed with projects and special events throughout the year. For information, contact Rachel Martinez-Finn (2nd year Elder).

Each congregation is governed by a Session which is made up of elders elected by the congregation and all pastors on the staff.
