As a Presbyterian church with a 100+ year history in Cleveland Heights, we owe our form of governance to the Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States.
We are part of The Presbytery of the Western Reserve, serving churches from Amherst to Ashtabula from their offices in downtown Cleveland.
Geographically, we are one of 682 PC(USA) congregations, organized into 11 presbyteries, under the the Synod of the Covenant. The synod offices are located near Toledo, Ohio.
Our Mission Partners

“Founded in 1989, Reaching Heights mobilizes community resources to foster highly valued public schools that provide all Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District students a successful education.”
The Home Repair Resource Center (formed in 1970 by Forest Hill Church as an outreach of our peacemaking and racial reconciliation mission) fosters “diverse & sustainable neighborhoods through well-maintained homes.”
“The mission of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians is to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ, with the help of God’s grace. We are called to achieve this goal by furthering the inclusion of LGBTQ persons, and by working for the unity of the PC(USA).”
We have a special relationship supporting Boulevard Elementary School in Cleveland Heights, through book donations, school supplies, and holiday gift-giving.
Family Promise of Greater Cleveland formed when the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cleveland merged with New Life Community. Its continuing mission “is to inspire and empower homeless families….”
