Help the Pacesetters on Sat. May 20, 9am-noon, clean up, plant, and provide brunch for guests of the Transplant House of Cleveland, a non-profit organization providing temporary, affordable housing for organ transplant patients and their families (2007 E. 115th,
at Mayfield Rd. in University Circle.)
Projects will include cleaning the rear porches and stairs, prepping and planting a raised garden bed and planting annuals, cleaning outdoor tables and chairs, and pruning a hedge behind the main apartment building. In case of rain, we’ll work indoors.
Items to Bring for Work Projects:
1 Nozzle and at least 25’ hose (plus brush attachment for hose for porch cleaning)
Hand scrub bristle brush (2)
Hand clippers for trimming scrub brush (not electric)
(2) Large outdoor pots – (18-20”) for planters near front entrances
Styrofoam packing peanuts for the pots
If you’d like to support the service project but can’t volunteer on May 20, cash to help purchase garden supplies, plants, topsoil, etc. is welcome. Details will follow closer to May 20.
