Mr. Damus, a Haitian ethics professor, was detained and imprisoned by the U.S. Government for 766 days after lawfully applying for asylum. He was recently released on parole due in part to the support demonstrated by residents of Greater Cleveland, but continues to be separated from his family whom he left behind in Haiti. Now we need to take the next step.
Your generosity can make a huge difference for one of the many families currently suffering from our government’s harsh treatment of asylum seekers. Please donate as you are able.
